Finalizado el primer trimestre del año, la previsión de crecimiento y desarrollo del sector turístico en América Latina y el Caribe es optimista. Los ingresos por reservas de viajes siguen en alza, incluyendo tickets aéreos, estancias en hoteles, tours guiados, entre otros.
El turista latinoamericano está volviendo a viajar cada vez con más frecuencia y al año invierte en conocer nuevos destinos, ya sea dentro o fuera del continente. Actualmente, la mayoría prefiere viajar al exterior, tendencia que está relacionada con la apertura de nuevas rutas y disponibilidad de vuelos hacia sus destinos favoritos.
Si bien durante el primer trimestre del año, el turismo en el país sufrió una considerable caída, el Gobierno ha desarrollado estrategias a fin de reactivar el turismo receptivo dirigidas a las empresas turísticas para que conozcan el tipo de viajeros que nos visitan, qué destinos y actividades priorizan, así como qué aspectos toman en cuenta para planificar su viaje.
Es por ello, que cifras de Statista revelaron que la demanda de reservas hoteleras se ha triplicado en relación al 2020, esperando que el mercado peruano experimente un crecimiento superior al 30% en 2023.
Siguiendo con este rubro a nivel región se prevé que los ingresos del mercado de los viajes y el turismo aumenten cerca de 60% en Latinoamérica y el Caribe a lo largo de este año, volviendo a niveles anteriores de la crisis sanitaria.
Asimismo, desde hace tres años, el viajero se ha vuelto más previsor, y esa cultura lo ha llevado a incluir dentro de su itinerario, contar con una asistencia al viajero, que le permita estar prevenido ante algún imprevisto médico o no médico que pueda ocurrir en cualquier lugar del mundo. De acuerdo a proyecciones propias, se estima que la compañía tenga un crecimiento del 15% en la región, durante este año.
El viajero latinoamericano constantemente anda en busca de nuevas experiencias.
